Chasing Driftwood Writing Group is a Community Interest Company based in Christchurch, Dorset. It was set up in 2017 by local author Chantelle Atkins. The group currently runs six creative writing clubs, including after school clubs, adult groups and clubs for home educated children. The aim of the group is to increase access to writing groups and workshops and to encourage adults and children to start writing and keep writing!
Over the last few years Chasing Driftwood has run multiple creative writing workshops for adults and children in local schools, libraries, museums and community halls. These will all now be available as online courses to increase accessibility for keen writers.

Hi, I’m Chantelle and I'm a writer from Christchurch, Dorset. I write for both the adult and young adult markets and write in multiple genres. From family mystery, to dystopian, to psychological thriller. I am also the owner and director of Chasing Driftwood Writing Group. In the last few years I have set up two adult writing groups, two after school writing clubs and two writing clubs for home educated children. I have also put together and run numerous workshops for adults and children locally. It is very exciting to now be uploading those workshops in the form of online courses, as this will increase access to writing based opportunities, which is the main aim of Chasing Driftwood.
